Dec 02 Tuesday
It's the most wonderful time...of the year! Starting November 27 and running thru January 1, Central Park will be lit up nightly from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM with the The Murray Bank Festival of Lights!
As in years past, we encourage you to bring five canned goods for your admission, which will be donated to Murray Calloway Need Line.
The FNB 7th Annual Festival of Lights will open to the public on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, and will run every WEEKEND NIGHT through Thursday, January 1st, 2026, from 5:30 – 8:30 PM, as well as other special weekday nights.
Everyone is invited to come drive through and check out a large variety of light displays that have been purchased by local businesses, community organizations, churches, local families and more. Admission is free but monetary and canned good donations are accepted. We hope to see you at this community-wide Christmas celebration!
Any questions may be directed to the Mayfield-Graves County Parks Department by e-mail at mgcfestivaloflights@gmail.com.
Join Justin and Isabel for lively discussion about movies and TV shows on the first Tuesday of each month! We don't discuss any particular movie or show; we want to talk about whatever you've been watching! As we may discuss some rated R movies, this program is intended for ages 17+. We will provide refreshments and snacks for those who join us.
Each year, Paducah Power System sponsors a magnificent display of Christmas lights in Paducah’s Noble Park. A half million twinkling bulbs illuminate the park between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day each holiday season. Thousands of people visit the event, making it a holiday favorite for people of all ages.
Community volunteers man the Santa House at the park, collecting donations of money and nonperishable food for area helping agencies. All donations from Christmas in the Park activities go to Paducah Cooperative Ministry, Family Service Society, the Salvation Army and St. Vincent DePaul Society.
In recent years, a significant portion of the proceeds have come from the annual School Challenge which involves local school districts. During the School Challenge, schools in Paducah/McCracken County compete against each other by collecting canned goods. The school that collects the most pounds of food per student wins $1,000.
The 2025 event kicks off Wednesday, November 26 and will run, nightly, through December 31. We will start taking reservations September 2 for volunteer groups to work at the Santa House during this year’s event.
Meetings are held in the Council Chamber on the first floor of the Hopkinsville Municipal Center at 715 South Virginia Street. Meetings are broadcast live on YouTube and by tuning to City TV on Spectrum Cable Channel 376.
